Call to Islamic prayers on loudspeakers in GermanyReader comment on item: Why Israel Needs to Win Submitted by Prashant (United States), Oct 14, 2021 at 09:57 Dear Dr Pipes, According to the following report by Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/germanys-largest-mosque-broadcast-call-prayer-fridays-2021-10-11/) , Muslims in Cologne in Germany will be allowed to broadcast their calls to prayers on loudspeakers every Friday. In today's day and age loud calls to prayers serve no useful prayers. In the Islamic context they are also tantamount to political and cultural imposition. This disgrace must stop. I request all freedom loving people to oppose this absurdity. Muslims who want to understand the causes behind the genuine fear of Islam among non-Muslims, loud calls to prayers that no one can stop in thousands of cities of the world are one of the causes. People of the world need to judge Muslims and Islam by modern standards accepted by our current societies and not by the draconian Islamic standards.
