Democracy is a 'built to order' system for anti-democratic forces

Dear Dr Pipes, The reader Damas John from Tanzania made the ominous prediction that is one of my major concerns as well. Damas John said, "...Moreover Israel government must monitor rapid increasing arab-israelis to avoid future hardtimes when the population of Arabs will overwhelm that of Jews."

Democratic setups are perfect for anti-democracy forces. Anti-democracy political forces like Islam can use democracy to boost their strength until the point when they become strong enough to over-throw democracy itself. A famous quote by Ergodan of Turkey perfectly describe the Islamic intentions. Ergodan sais and I quote, "Democracy is like a tram. You ride it until you arrive at your destination, then you step off." (citation1)).
In non-Muslim democratic nations the nexus between leftist and Islamist forces is well known.

I do not know what is the solution to this problem. In your above interview with Israel Today you stated that Islamism is on decline in the ME (citation2). I hope that is true because that is our only hope. How will Israel manage when Muslims become a majority in Israel? How will the European democracies be affected as the percentage of the Muslim populations in them hits 10 or 15% mark? How will the Indian democracy react under similar circumstances? What will happen to our planet when most governments are either Islamic or a coalition between the left and Islamists (luckily Latin America is safe for now)? How many countries will have to carve Islamic-majority regions out of them? How many minority non-Muslim populations will disappear? How many Muslims-only zones will be created? These are real existential threats to democracy and freedom that we should not ignore. This is not Islamophobia; it is happening right now as we speak and write.

I think weakening Islam's grip on Muslims and Muslims' grip on Islam is the only solution and I hope that the decline in Islamism that you predicted in your IT interview is indeed happening.
