Yemen - Seven Years Later & IsraelReader comment on item: Why Yemen Matters Submitted by Ludvikus (United States), Jan 19, 2022 at 21:39 Dear Dr. Daniel Pipes, Neither you, nor any of your Readers has visited this site in 7 years. So here am I today. Your analysis here was excellent and very informative. There just one assessment, regard Israel, that turned out differently, contrary to you prediction. Back then you did not believe it likely that the obsession with Israel and the Palestinian would abate. On Monday, of this week, the Yemenite Houthis bombed the UAE. But now Israel is at peace with the UAE. And Israel has announced it would provide Intelligence and security assistance to the UAE. And I suspect that Israel is doing much, much more, to help the Saudi led coalition (GCC) behind closed doors. It would be nice I think, if you updated this posting, in light of the events in the last 7 year. Perhaps you could also review here, or elsewhere the complex political history of Yemen since the 1960's. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
