Worldwide celebration of 732 CE, 1498 CE, and 1948 CEReader comment on item: Sa'udi Policies towards Migrants and Refugees Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jun 30, 2022 at 10:24 Dear Dr Pipes, Reader Thomas used the world 'shameless' to describe the public display of a Nazi flag by Israeli Muslims (aka Palestinians) in an Israeli town. To celebrate the Nazis for any reason is indeed shameful but it can be entirely expected from the Muslims. Throughout history, Muslims have routinely disregarded human sensibilities to advance Islam. Perhaps, the non-Islamic world can use three important dates from history as a rallying cry against political Islam. I have often written on your forum that Muslim invaders breached the boundaries of India on the East, Europe on the West, and Israel in the North with uncanny symmetry within 60 or 70 years of Muhammad's death. The methods used by the Muslim armies in each direction were the same: repeated brutal aggressions, frivolous treaties when needed to regain strength, cruel wars and sieges, and ultimate conversions to Islam under swords. Apparently, it was the brutal Sahara desert that saved humanity from Islamic aggression in the south. When Muslims use the insults like the Nazi flags, the world can remind them of the years 732, 1498, and 1948 and celebrate these years. Not many people talk about the battle of Tours fought and won by Europeans in 732 (ref1). This battle was a watershed event that blocked Islamic expansion into Europe beyond Spain. Muslims (aka Umayyads) were decisively defeated and still remember this battle as 'battle of the martyrs'. Second important date occurred in the year 1498. Sick and tired of Muslim (aka Ottoman) control of the land trade routes, in 1498 Vasco da Gama found the sea route to India. (People might recall that Christopher Columbus had failed to do that in 1492 :-)). Portuguese arrival to India eventually led to the establishment of East India Company by the British and the ultimate defeat of Muslims (aka Mughals) in India by Europeans. The events of 1498 saved India from complete Islamization. European colonization saved the Indians from annihilation by Islam. (Thank God, I am alive to tell this tale. There is no one alive in pagan Arabia, Zoroastrian Iran, Buddhist Afghanistan, and Hindu Pakistan to tell their tales). The defeat of Muslims (aka Palestinians) in the North came in 1948 when Israel was born. The world can celebrate 732, 1498, and 1948 as a rallying cry against political Islam. These three years led to the confinement of Islam only to what we know as Middle East. I have Nothing against Islam except its love for violence and brutality. I often say that Muslims need to go back to where ever they came from and come back as non-violent monks. Until that happens the above three dates can be the rallying cry. PS: Using the terms like Mughals, Umayyads, Ottomans, and Palestinians obfuscates the fact that in each of the above cases the world was facing the same enemy: the religion of Islam hiding under the umbrella of political Islam. Hence, my repeated use of the aka's.
