Invoking Provocative Stance on Middle East in Regional Confusion Does Not Provide Grounds for Substantive DebateReader comment on item: Searching for Peace Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Oct 12, 2022 at 16:17 Historically reviewing the ancient antipathies of why the KSA does not act as any would expect is enconsed in their desires of self protection, from all sectors. Dr Pipes has made this/these assertion(s) evident in times past and reiteration at this juncture is potentially preemptive to what may be seen as adding fuel to a fire that needs no more aggravation than already displayed. It is a replay of 1973 to 1978 all over again. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
