Submitted by NIr (United States), Feb 7, 2023 at 11:55 LYNCH HAPPENED ON MAY 9, 2021. ____ https://www.inn.co.il/news/591542 Lynch in a marriage proposal: Avia and Shahar Antman filed a civil lawsuit of millions of shekels against the terrorists The Antmans, who were injured in a lynching on the Mount of Olives when they returned from their marriage proposal, filed a civil lawsuit of approximately NIS 2,000,000 against the terrorists who carried out the lynching. Orli Harari, published: 16th Shvat, 7.02.23 Avia and Shahar Antman, who were attacked two years ago after returning from their marriage proposal at Beit ha-Hoshen in Jerusalem, filed a civil lawsuit in the district court through attorney Haim Bleicher from the Honenu organization against the terrorists Nawaf Abu Alhawa [نواف أبو الهوى] and Rami Salah El-Din [رامي صلاح الدين] who participated in the lynching, in the amount of NIS 1,950,000. The terrorists were convicted in the Jerusalem District Court in June 2022 as part of a plea deal and were sentenced to 5 and 7 years in prison. The prosecution appealed the terrorists' sentence to the Supreme Court and it was increased to 6 and 9 years in prison. In the lawsuit filed by Attorney Bleicher, details about the damage caused to them as a result of the incident and details about the pain and suffering they experienced, and are still experiencing, mainly on the mental level, following the incident. As part of the lawsuit, the victims ask the court to award the terrorists punitive damages, due to the fact that the terrorists caused The damages from a racist-nationalist motive (terrorism). Let's recall that the lynching happened about two years ago, after Avia proposed marriage to his chosen heart Shahar in Beit Ha-Hoshen overlooking the Temple Mount. On their way back from the marriage proposal, their car was blocked by Arab rioters who started throwing rocks and stones at them. Aviah got out of the car and was beaten, stoned and even stabbed in the back. Shahar managed to escape and join the police, and her injured father also came to them. He was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital, and was hospitalized and needed prolonged medical treatment - which postponed the couple's engagement party. Attorney Bleicher said after filing the statement of claim: "Islamic terrorism is constantly working to cause panic and harm the citizens of Israel in a severe and cruel manner. We will do everything to exact the heaviest price possible from those terrorists. Anyone who participated in the brutal lynching is expected to receive this type of lawsuit. After accompanying the criminal proceedings with the demand for a stricter prison sentence, we hope in this way of hitting the pocket to contribute our part in the war to deter terrorism."
