The Left is the biggest threat to the PalestiniansReader comment on item: Violence Is Not the Biggest Palestinian Threat to Israel Submitted by Dave (United States), Feb 9, 2023 at 21:25 The Left and its seductive propaganda of western guilt and Palestinian victimhood is like a poisonous and addictive drug. By blaming Palestinian excesses on the West or Israel, the Left has made it much more difficult to wage a fierce but constructive ideological battle against Palestinian rejectionism, violent religious intolerance, and internal oppression. This traps Palestinians into a delusional moral fantasy, where they can continue to refuse to come to grips with Israel's reality and to deal constructively with their own shortcomings. Instead, they are encouraged to feel justified in waging endless war against a neighbor that is demonstratively more prosperous and civilized, a neighbor that should be emulated, and not hated. By justifying and feeding into their self-pity and envy, the Left is like a drug pusher who has hooked his hapless customers for his own gain, a dubious cause that reaps its western champions tangible rewards in academic and social status while victimizing the Palestinians by discouraging self-criticism and reform. And, like drug dealers, the true well-being of their clients takes a back seat to the selfish desires of these fake "friends".
