Comment to JeffReader comment on item: Christian Peacemaker Teams: Blame Bush, not Islamists Submitted by dds (Canada), Dec 15, 2005 at 16:00 Not exactly, Jeff ... all that does is perpetuate the cycle of war and violence and provide what looks like a quick fix. If we are all praying and asking God to take command of the situation, there may be war and bloodshed -- which isn't "nice", but a quick flip through Scripture will show that godly people did, in fact, go to war and fight and kill and conquer -- but when His will is allowed to be paramount, the victory is total. So yes, you can fight a war with a Bible -- that's why it's the sword of truth -- but like any weapon, it has to be used properly.
