Yes , I was born as muslim as my name indicates. I left islam quietly after finding absurdities and contradictions in Quran and reading about Mohammed's extremely violent life of Madina.My biggest resentment was that since childhood I was fed with lies and sanitized and whitewashed info about islam and Mohammed by the Imams and the books given to me (that is how they convert naive western women and members of minorities). They only mentioned selected hadiths showing Mohammed as a very kind man (who never killed any one and who married an old woman) and quoting repeatedly the two or three lonely Mecca abrogated peaceful ayas (there is no compulsion in religion, 2.256) and bogus science in Quran; and stayed clear of the violent madina hadiths and the 164 Madina violent jihad ayas, the contradictions and the absurdities.

Thanks to Ali Sina , I found the truth of Islam on faithfreedom.org and thanks to Craig Winn ,I understood Quran in context and chronology for the first time in my life in his book Prophet of Doom (prophetofdoom.net). In my opinion his is the best tafsir of quran ever written. (he is on islamist's death threat)
