The business of corruption and terrorismReader comment on item: Will Prosperity End Palestinian Enmity to Israel? Submitted by Pigfoot (United States), Jan 5, 2006 at 17:13 I understand the political and religious fervor involved, but I believe there is another piece of the pie. That piece is the money flowing into the poor beleagered Palistinian lands. If the terror would stop that money would cease. This "sympathy money" from all over would be sent elswhere if suddenly there would be a "state" and real investment money would flow in. And then what would the terrorists do--get jobs? The ones that suggest that the world's capitalists would begin such as process and the Jews would join hands with the Palastinians are living in some sort of a dreamland. Capitalists are very rich and the way they got that way is not sending any money into bottomless pits of corruption. They, I'm sure, are well aware of the the money that got away into European and Cayman accounts during Arafat's regime.
