.. as well as their supporters.

Dr Pipes:

I too do not know what has happened to not only Israelis, at all levels, not only the politicos, especially "men" such as Sharon, Olmert, Oz, Mitzna, Moaz, Beilin, Peres and on it goes.

As a Jewish male watching the plethora of sucide killings in Israel between 2001 and 2003 due to the pathetic and timid responses by the Israeli Army, I became very embarrased to even call myself a Jew. Especially given the liberalism articulated in the Op-Ed pages by not only in the Jewish communities, i.e., US, Canada and England but by veiled Anti Semites in the Non-Jewish Communities.

To the point where I went to South America to find a woman who was not aware of what was happening in the Middle East, so I could still be proud of my tribe.

At any rate, I read with bewilderment the puzzling developments re: disengagement, Kadimah, the garbage coming from the politicians listed above, naive statements from various Israeli entertainers ( i.e., Barenboim ) seeking to find a rapprochment with their Arab neighbours through music.

It is obvious that the Israelis are fatiqued by it all. The fatique that lead to them electing Barak which lead to the daily suicide attacks.

I have tried to assume that the Israelis are gearing up for an all out muscular atack or such a vicious response that the Palestinians would think a 1000x before evere launching another rocket.

But that response never comes. Only an emergency cabinet meeting, assasinations of the current ring leaders at that moment, the blowing up of a stop sign or empty building, followed by more suicide attacks.

These " leaders " listed above, including are not the type Golda Meir, especially the Sharon of today, despite his heroic past, would wish to have in her cabinet.
