Understanding this ban

Reader comment on item: The Erratic Career of Western Music in Iran

I'm not sure if the readers or Westerners in general actually understand why he did this. It's not really a personal insult aimed at "western" music, but rather it is because music is forbidden in the religion of Islaam. It is said to be a tool satan and the more someone listens to music, the less their heart is filled with remembering God.

Hope this clarified something !
