Just "some" are moderate and patriotic?

Care to bet that black Muslims will be fighting in our armed forces against Saddam and Al Qaeda in a much higher proportion to their numbers than the black Muslims who sympathize with their brand of hatred of America?

So, by naming a handful of individuals (probably representing a few thousand out of 700,000 persons), this signifies a "well-established (oh, but not universal!) tradition ... pattern" of Muslim converts turning against their country? Please.

Wartime or not, human casualties, domestic and otherwise, are one of the costs of freedom. But curtailment of first amendment freedoms ought not to be one of those casualties. ..
