Bennett (United States), Feb 8, 2006 at 16:20 The fuss over the veil in France and the Danish cartoons in Muslim countries are eerily reminiscent of the angry, hate-filled actions of America's fundamentalists when they try to cram their prayers into public schools, when they try to force images of a Bronze Age stone idol (10 commandments monuments) in public spaces, and when they try to ban equal rights for women and gays. America's fundamentalists are just as nasty and just as intolerant as Islamic fundamentalists.All of this points out that religious expressions should be banned from taxpayer-supported institutions. The founders were right -- get religion out of the government. Thank the Enlightenment for our godless Constitution! Submitting....
