Other hints of JihadReader comment on item: Interview with Daniel Pipes Submitted by Lynn Provencio (United States), Nov 3, 2002 at 23:58 Another thing that echoes Militant Islamic Jihad with John Mohammed: His last threat that the children wouldn't be safe anywhere. Islamist Militants say that very often when threatening their victims. Also, the fact that John Mohammed's victims were of different races and backgrounds is something to consider. While racial prejudice, personal problems and internal turmoil may have helped turn him in the direction he went, he is not an irrational man. The sniper attacks were aimed at a culture and a way of life. His choosing of targets from various ethinic groups seems to be saying that. What they had in common was that they were Americans doing everyday American type things. Shooting at a synagogue, having some sophisticated equipment and taking airplane flights when he was supposed to be broke seems to me to make the Militant Islamic connection a no-brainer. It really worries me that these things are hushed up. If the ciminal investigators didn't want to reveal too much, that would be understandable. But the news media is hushing up that aspect. The media both here and in Europe seems to kow-tow so much to Muslim wishes, it really makes me wonder why.
