That's absolutely sillyReader comment on item: Saudis Impose Their Way on Westerners Submitted by Farid H. (Germany), Apr 16, 2006 at 12:18 This is absolutely silly. Doesn't that hotel manager realize that he's depriving his Saudi guests of all the benefits and *real* reasons they're traveling abroad? Mr. Prokop, what do you think most Saudis are doing when on a trip to neighboring Bahrain or Qatar? What do you think they're seeking when traveling to Paris, Las Vegas or anywhere else outside their own country? Aren't they looking for the stuff you're purposefully removing, out of grossly misunderstood cross cultural sensitivity? And one more thing: you have more than enough guests from arabic countries, and never had to remove pictures, alcohol or force female staff to wear trousers. All this is so utterly ridiculous, it ought to be satirized on a late night show! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
