Sex worker ' French Kiss' speaks with forked tongue: Praise of Muslim clients belies Islamist misogyny and hypocrisyReader comment on item: "Pasha Bordello" Accepts Islamist Demands Submitted by Ben van de Polder (United States), May 7, 2006 at 10:18 Sexworker ‘French Kiss’ speaks with forked tongue : Praise of Muslim clients belies misogyny, honor killing, rape, and pedofilia. 'French Kiss’s' attempts to bring Donna Hughes sources into discredit ‘for having an anti prostitution agenda’ are irrelevant to the fact that abuse of prostitutes, and underage sex tourism involving girls and boys are rampant in the Muslim world. It is the glaring hypocrisy of a society which enforces death penalties for women’s ‘immorality’ and’immodesty’ which is the core issue of the ‘Pasha Bordello” story. A recent case in point is the story of a Saudi couple living in Denver, who kept a housekeeper as a slave . The husband, Homaidin Al Turki was a respected Islamic scholar who also ran a religious book publishing company could face life in jail because of sexual assault. http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/1493 ‘French Kiss' claims that a leading Muslim cleric referred to in the article said nothing about ‘child brides and sex tourism’ and absurdly infers that the problem does not exist. She adds insult to injury by writing that ‘the NGO Prajwala, which received millions to help traffic children’ have “a vested interest in perpetuating the myth”. She then lists the nationalities of her clients, noting they included Muslims, and makes the ‘Freudian’ comment of “having had a fair sized sampling of each’. Adding that “on the whole” “they (her clients) were very nice and charming”. French kiss also disingenuously infers that it is the fundamentalist Muslims who are the problem, when in fact, misogyny and prostitution are an integral part of life in Islamic societies both in and outside the Muslim world. Younger women are forced into marriages with older men, (sometimes for one night), men take several wives, gang rape is a legally sanctioned punishment, honor killings occur worldwide, and incest is rampant. Apparently ‘French Kiss’ is unaware that there were 6 killings of Muslim women by male family members in the space of 4 months in the German city of Berlin alone, and in one case the brother killed the sister, for having a boyfriend, whom he had also raped himself. http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/1859 In Sweden native women have taken to wearing ‘ant rape belts’ after vicious attacks by Muslim men whose belief that that they have the right to have sex with any infidel woman they can grab –as a form of ‘conquest booty’ is sanctioned by clerics. http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/1492 Contrary to what ‘French Kiss’ thinks , masked Muslims brandishing sticks and knives who intimidate German citizens in Germany (and demand that the flags of their countries be removed from a poster advertising a bordello), is not an issue that can be resolved by the bordeel owner ‘being nice’ and ‘polite’ nor is it ‘a valuable lesson in diplomatic resolution’. It is a bald faced attempt to enforce Islamist demands, under the guise of phony righteous indignation . The Germans who should be expressing indignation and outrage at the Muslim push to enforce their rules, and the reaction of the police who sided with them. The public and law enforcement should also be demanding to know why the Muslims in Germany ,whose 'Islamist sensitivities' made them livid about seeing an Arabic flag on a bordeel poster, to the point that they were ready to attack the premises and harm the owners, had nothing to say about the recent 'honor killings' 6 Muslim women in Berlin (which the Muslim 'enforcers' presumably they approve of). http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/1859 The flag incident is indicative of the real problem, which highlights how keeping up appearances to the outside world, is more of a priority then preserving human life in the Muslim weltaanshauung. Dr. Pipes article “Arab sex tourism” exposed the hypocrisy ande moral bankruptcy beneath Muslim’s phony sensitivity on sexual issues. http://www.danielpipes.org/article/3022 His blog “Pasha Bordello bows to Islamist demands” shows how Europe is losing the democratic and strategic highground. http://www.danielpipes.org/article/3022 First off, let me point out that anything Donna Hughes has to say about sex slaves or prostitution is highly suspect. This isn't libel, it's an easily proven fact. The woman clearly has an agenda and won't let facts or statistics get in her way. As you can see here http://www.nswp.org/pdf/KINNELL-FEMINISTS.PDF on p. 10, she not only misquotes figures from her sources but resorts to attack when corrected. In fact that whole "academic freedom/ libel lawsuit" fiasco came about because she was slandering a woman who doesn't share her abolitionist views. After this woman had been cleared in a court of law of all charges they brought against her, she continued to make the false claims in her "academic research" papers. Now, as for your story. I did a google search on "Maulana Hameeduddin Aqil" AND "Millat-e-Islamia" and I got 39 hits for various blogs (yours at the top, of course) all about Muslim sex tourism and child brides. Then I did a search on just "Maulana Hameeduddin Aqil" for which there were 45 results, including the one you linked to and several others from legitimate arab sources. But Maulana Hameeduddin Aqil Hussaini (the man you linked to) is a religious leader who said nothing of child brides or sex tourism in any legitimate source. The NGO Prajwala, a key source of your information, received over a million US dollars last year for their efforts to combat prostitution under the guise of helping "trafficked children" http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/65484.pdf so I think it's fair to say they have a vested interest in perpetuating the myth. Of course this is not to say that Arab Muslim men do not see prostitutes. As a sex-worker, I can confirm that I have seen Arab, Persian and Turkish Muslims, just as I have seen Hindi men from India. Most of my clients have been Christian or Jewish whites, with South/East Asian men not far behind them. I've probably seen slightly more black men than middle easterners, but I've had a fair sized sampling from all those men as clients, and they were all -each group as a whole- very nice and charming. A lot of Muslim men are as unlike their fundamentalist counterparts as Jerry Seinfeld is unlike a Hassidic Rabbi. If you keep lumping them all together, your depiction will be inaccurate. As for the brothel owner, I'm sure he included the Saudi and Iranian flags as a way of acknowledging their inclusion in the World Cup soccer tournament. When they found out that it offended certain followers of Islam, they pulled it, because that's what polite people do. Honestly, I don't know why some of you think an advertisement for a whorehouse is a good thing to take a stand on. Perhaps he should have offered to remove the flags as soon as they asked him to nicely. Who knows, perhaps they might have come around in time, and learned a valuable lesson in diplomatic resolution.
