How many Muslims in USA ?? 7M? 8M? 10M?Reader comment on item: How Many U.S. Muslims? Submitted by Saul Pfeffer (Canada), Dec 21, 2002 at 20:46 Dear Daniel Pipes,We are experiencing Muslim population inflation at double digit rates. The 8M figure has become common and no-one remembers where they saw it , heard it, read it. As the person who got the media the use the word "Islamist", I look to you to give us some credible population figures on Muslims. There is a huge difference between the 1.8-2.5 range and the inflated figures now bandied about. The difference in how legislatures react is enormous. In October of 2001 you laid out the situation quite well but there are still no authoritative numbers from neutral sources. Could you give us some guidance here? Thank you for your attention, Saul Pfeffer Montreal Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
