By Peace; Or By war?!Reader comment on item: Saudis Condemn Hamas and Hizbullah Submitted by michael barnett (United States), Jul 29, 2006 at 05:37 Shalom! The 'War' has been defined. But what of the 'Peace'? Shall there be a negotiated peace? Or, as Dan Pipes holds, 'Israel has a War to Win.'? Israel is at this moment, in the war in lebanon, establishing the 'legal bases' for its position. And so in this effort, they force the hand of the international community, via the UN. Though Israel has stated uncatagorically, 'Hezbollah must be destroyed', even now the talk is a settlement which comes by engaging All parties, even the terrorist, Hezbollah. Was not this Israel's chess move all the while? I am not 'political'. I approach this from a religious and 'end of days' perspective. I, as many Jews, do not accept this present Jewish State as legitimate. Nevertheless, myself 'theology' holds to an endtime blessing of Jews by way of a so-called 'gentile church'. And this 'cyrus church' is the means of blessing to the remnant in Israel.
