attack on Seattle Jewish FederationReader comment on item: Seattle Responds to Its Jihadi, Naveed Haq Submitted by lucy chambers (United States), Aug 17, 2006 at 18:00 We live in northern WA . Seattle a is typical clueless west coast liberal city, home of the Battle of Seattle during one of the world trade conferences, known for giving the millenium terror guy who planned to bomb the Space Needle and LAX 14 years for the plot. Fortunately, the French prison system wants him after he is finished here. What sticks in my mind, from this liberal city, is the Episcopalian Church state convention of 2004, to which I was a delegate from our small church. The approximately 800 people at the conference turned out to be political instead of church people- we voted on UN resolutions and health plans for staff and held various dinners with ethnic entertainers, sang 'cum baya' and so on,presumably to make up for the fact that the delegates were all white-haired or bald and not at all ethnically diverse. The worst, however, was when all the delegates except maybe 3 of us voted to censor Israel for building a defensive fence but WOULD NOT SUPPORT by the same margin a motion added to censor the suicide bombers. The ladies at the Jewish Federation need to take a closer, more pragmatic look at their liberal neighbors in Seattle and think about who exactly is interested in their safety and against anti-semitism. The first excuse given for the Jewish Federation killer by the police was that he is bi-polar. There are many bi-polar people in the world, but somehow that does not rise to the level of an acceptable excuse for hate and murder.
