American Discrimination repriseReader comment on item: Are Muslim Americans Victimized? Submitted by Wayne (United States), Aug 25, 2006 at 13:07 This article was written in 2000. I wonder what the author thinks now that there is so much Islamaphobia as seen by actions of airport security preventing people from wearing arabic script on clothing in public? I wonder what the author thinks now that the government thinks it can arrest now and ask questions later? I wonder what the author thinks now that the US Constitution no longer protects people. In 6 years, it seems we have gone from trying to understand and accept muslum people to institutionalized paranoia. We locked up the Japanese in the 40's.....it seems we are trying to lock up muslum culture in the 21st century. If you don't look "American" you are suspect. You must hide your foerign identity..a far cry from 6 years ago.
