be careful, Tim...Reader comment on item: Troubles at Islamic Schools in the West Submitted by z (United States), Aug 29, 2006 at 22:44 Tim be careful in what you say. that last statement, especially, was not at all called for. by saying that "Islam needs to adapt to the West and to the 21st century. The West does not need to adapt to Islam and an outdated 7th century point of view.", you are blatantly opening the door for argument and chaos. by saying this, you are putting your way of life over everyone else's, and if Muslims are called terrorists for doing the same, then how are you justified in doing it? If Islam has something in it, then it must be taught. If Islam teaces the concept of defending your faith by any means necessary (just as I am sure you believe in defending your way of life, democracy and secularism, by any means necessary), then it should be taught. simply put, the Truth must be said and taught, whether people want to hear it or not. I realize that you probably did not make your statements with the intent of sounding confrontational, and I respect that. I am in no way trying to insult or put you down, however, I am just advising you to be careful in your speech. again, if I sounded harsh or confrontational in my comment, then please forgive me. my regards.
