The source of our Bill of Rights

Reader comment on item: A clash of civilizations?

Submitted by sidney s. davisson (United States), Sep 14, 2006 at 11:39

When our founders brought together their collective knowledge of previous governments, reason, and wisdom, they produced both the Bill of Rights and our Constitution. These works had been inspired by a new enlightenment,an illumination from within. The Bill of Rights inspired and illuminated others, and it grew, morally, righteously.

Our Constitution now stands as the greatest political and religious document ever written. Those who seek to dilute it,shred it, or destroy it, from within our nation or from outside our nation, are not only anti-American,but ant-God as well. In the name of our children, its guarantees must be re-instated in all fifty states. No exceptions may be made. God must win these battles also..sid s. davisson
