militant version of islam does not existReader comment on item: A clash of civilizations? Submitted by Ambreen (Pakistan), Nov 23, 2006 at 09:23 clash of civilizations is a possible phenomen, war against terror can take place but there is no such concept as 'militant islam.' Mlitancy can be a culture but it can never be a religion. Islam is a religon which means peace, it talks about forgiveness. Those who consider islam as a militant religon or even 10 percent of the people of this religon as terrorists are just too weak to defend themselves. and people who kill others in name of Islam have just taken the identity of a religon which is most appealing and acceptable to human mind, to justify their deeds. for example, attacks on world trade center are justified by these groups as that they have taken revenge but does Islam teaches to take revenge from innocent.? ofcourse not but these groups try to cover themselves and there unknown intentions by saying that it was for Islam. there is no thing like militant islam.
