The possible future of a Muslim Bloc in Western EuropeReader comment on item: It Takes a Ph.D. in Political Science … Submitted by TL Miller (United States), Oct 3, 2006 at 10:24 One potential problem that Warner and Wenner seem not to consider is how will those decentralized adherents vote when a more focused version of Islamism comes to Western Europe. If enough Shi'ites begin to arrive then by their own account the authors accept that a common path to Sharia and possible Islamic republics replacing Western democracies is at least a potential. How would these "decentralized" Muslims vote along the way? How would the inevitably-elected and appointed judges who happen to be Muslims interpret laws? The path to an Islamic Europe is there ready to be followed and left unchecked, it will become the path of least resistance.
