disagreementReader comment on item: The U.S. Government Defines Jihad Submitted by Shumaila Javed Bhatti (Pakistan), Nov 19, 2006 at 00:30 First of all the 'definition' given by these people is totally wrong! i would like to inform you that Jihad is only conducted when muslims are treated unfairly or are not granted their full rights or if someone is interferring in their religious matters. Jihad, when fought , also has some rules like: no old people should be harmed, no women or children should get hurt or no trees or living animals shounld get killed. Islam is the religion of peace and wars are forbidden(in exeption to some extreme cases). Murders and violence are also forbidden. I simply don't get it! People who do not know anything about Islam can put up such kind of definitions when ever they like. Islam is not What people think it is anit is the only religion with peace and tranquility!
