Too long...Give a break!!Reader comment on item: [Alastair Crooke's Conflict Forum and] Sharing Jokes with Hamas Submitted by Harish Ramaswamy (India), Dec 1, 2006 at 01:05 I have been in a way followingthe crisis in the midddle east since my student days when a colleague of mine took to study the problem of PLO for her research. I completed my PhD in an area far away from the international relation studies but she failed and left it half way through. In the southern Universities in India hardly any one talks about these issues except serious researchers like us who are few in number. This may be because the relationship between the different religious groups is rather very harmonious. But that apart I am constrained to say that even when the hard headed and die hard communists have changed their attitude to bring peace why is that these states often with the liberal leadership of the United states not in a posistion to resolve the crisis. The failure of US intervention is something that neither the US or its psychophants are willing to concede. they must learn to understand their limitations and allow those who understand the region to resolve the issue. Any human being is deterred by the KILLINGS. after all whose life is it any way? is a wrong attitude. It is too long let there be peace and let wisdom prevail on both the sides as is the case of india and pakistan let there be no ill will for the sake of it. Hamas has its belief and the Israelis must learn to respect it and in a free world there is nothing more powerful than negotiating. we are after all human beings here on earth for good and let us understand this and lead a life of live and let live.
