They have a stateReader comment on item: Bush on Israel: Heartburn for All Submitted by Glenn Klotz (United States), Mar 4, 2003 at 08:55 I've come around to the belief that the Palestinians need to be moved to their own state -- called Jordan -- where 90% of the present citizens are already Palestinians. No peace will ever be obtained with these people while they remain in historical Israel. Although this seems like a radical solution it really isn't. After many major and minor conflicts the losers had populations moved. Millions of Germans were forced to leave eastern Europe after WW2 and millions of Muslims and Hindus moved from India and Pakistan after their 1948 war. When the Gulf War ended in '91, Kuwait kicked out hundreds of thousands of Palestinians because they had supported Saddam. It seems this solution is ok for everyone else including the U.S. (The so called reservation system for our Native peoples) but it's a crime for Israel to even consider such a solution. Nevertheless, it's really the only long term solution.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
