the only way to deter the martyrsReader comment on item: War against Radical Islamists Submitted by alan fleck (United States), Jun 17, 2002 at 10:36 America appears to be in danger of being struck with a horrendous terrorist attack. The worst of it is that it is almost impossible to deter fanatic terrorists who seek martyrdom. I see only one thing that could help: Mr. Bush must publicly state that, "I love Muslims & love & respect the great Islamic religion, but due to the danger to America & its innocent civilians I am forced to order that we will be forced to respond to any mass terrorist attack against us with the targeting of the Kabba in Mecca by a tactical nuclear device." After that, I think security will return to America.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
