This to comment on Bruce Gilboord's posting of April 28. There are several societies of moderate muslims. The ones I am familiar with and actively support are Institute for the Secularisation of Islamic Society (website:www.secularislam.org) , Faithfreedom International (website:www.faithfreedom.org) and Liberty (websiteb: www.knowislam.com, magazine: "Liberty").
