Not afraid to speakReader comment on item: Bethlehem Christians Speak Out Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), May 28, 2007 at 14:37 Dear Mr. Pipes, There are many in this country who neither think nor do they care about the plight of Christians in Bethlehem, or any other city or country for that matter. It is a great pity, too, that the very word "Christian" has sometimes taken on the unpopular association with Neo-Fascism or other anti-Semetic or anti-Muslim ideology. The fact that the Muslims are pushing them out of Bethlehem isn't very surprising, given the present situation of our world today, i.e. that various populations or religions are trying to reassert themselves back into the mainstream of the world's economic and social center. Unfortunately, there is great danger of developing an unnatural imbalance, such as the (totally) unrelated topic of female infanticide in India, resulting in too many males now in their country. If we all knew the answer to why people can't just live together in peace and harmony (Blessed are the peacemakers) then we would have the answer to the real meaning of life.
