Schwartz's opinion should be taken with a grain(or ton) of salt!!!Reader comment on item: Canadian Islam Is Healthier Submitted by Jaladhi (United States), Jun 1, 2007 at 11:12 One has to wonder about Schwartz's views about the "healthiness" of Canadian Islam since he himself has converted to Islam's sufi sect. In his book, The Two Faces of Islam, he condemns Saudi Arabia's wahabism and holds them solely responsible for radicalization of Bosnian Muslims who are sufis and thought to be peaceful. He is right about Saudi Arabia's role in spreading wahabism and Muslim radicalism throughout the world. However, he forgets sufis are just as much radical and violent as the rest of Muslims, sunnis, shias etc. Muslims of Chechya, Kashmir, Bosnia, Kosovo, Albania , etc are sufis, yet they are in the forefrontt of violent jihad in these areas. I would take Schwartz's opinion about Canadian Islam with a grain( or ton ) of salt!!! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
