Actions speak louder than words .Reader comment on item: The Canadian Islamic Congress Discusses the Old Testament Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Jun 9, 2007 at 10:16 Yes , all Holy Books have violent passages, however lets judge on actions only please. If you were to go to Israel you could openly debate any religious subject with any Jew and even if you two disagree it will be ok. However if you were to go to any islamic nation and speak with a muslim person and say were to imply that maybe the " prophet " mohammed was not such a great guy or perhaps mohammed may be in the wrong you would be in serious trouble. People have died for such talk in muslim countries. It is how people use the holy books that matters. You can use the koran for good like some islamic people do or you can take the words of the quran and make them an instrument of hate , violence , murder and oppression. Please look and see how the holy books are being used . Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
