WWW 3 is a givenReader comment on item: Convicting [Ali al-Timimi,] the "Paintball Sheikh" Submitted by kantipala (Thailand), Aug 20, 2007 at 04:04 War with islam is a given because it views the world by a 13th century mind set. We all, 80% + of the world that is not muslim view life from a 21st century stand point. That stand point has 800 years of experience, and liberal trial and error that fostered it. Much like an iron age civilization meeting a stone age civilization. They will never understand each other, and the stone age people will react with certain fear. The fear of the unknown is the greatest "Satan" in the world. "Wow!!!" they have so much technology, and there social institutions are so revalutionary compaired to ours. It compounds the issue if the stone age society is "ordered" to be stone age by Gods will. Any progressives must be shot, anyone who will shake the system through intependant interpratation and thought is an enemy of God. "God" after all knows what best for us even if our common sence and better judgment tell us other wise. So the pressures on one side of the social/political fabric are pressing hard in one direction, and an opposing force is pressing has hard as it can in the other. Sooner or later that social/political fabric will tear ( war) In our period of globalization "world war" Beleive me I wish it was not, if only the stone agers could assimilate into the iron age. In islams case that would be an evolutionary leap of about 800 years. I, unfortunatly, think world war will happen before that kind of serious evolution will happen. The thought of war is painful to grasp for any sane mind. Moslems seemed to have grasped it pretty well, and sooner or later I am afraid the rest of us will need to as well.
