However, comparing us to a colonial power was not easy to understand or accept. Yes, you did mention that the comparison does not make the Shiites evil or bad, but at the same time it does indicate that Shiites would be the reason behind rejecting any form of government decentralization in Iraq, something that has nothing to do with reality. The Sunni Arabs' demands of a powerful centralized government makes national reconciliation a very difficult task in Iraq right now and this doesn't mean that there are anti-federalism among Shiites but the support for decentralized Iraq in the South is getting bigger day by day.
