Has Heck Converted To Islam??Reader comment on item: The Worst Book of 2007? Submitted by Nancy Drew (United Kingdom), Oct 1, 2007 at 08:07 It may be more than money driving Mr. Heck's opinion away from the obvious. After spending so much time with the Saudi's Heck could have converted to Islam and like many Muslims - is now willing to smooth over problems within the Islam - as he may now believe that it is in the West's best interest to submit to Islamic rule. If this is the case - like so many other western converts we could safely say that he has become compromised. As often - western converts turn against their western governments and way of life. These converts become anti-western. Although in the west we make every effort to separate church and state – or to keep it at a fair distance, Islam has made religion political. And like all other interests such as financial and political affiliation - perhaps he should be made to declare his interests where it might be that he has an interest in undermining the western way of life. Is he acting in Western interest, his own interest, or that of a foreign entity? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
