Jews Back in the LandReader comment on item: Imperial Israel: The Nile-to-Euphrates Calumny Submitted by Darsee Smith (United States), Oct 23, 2007 at 15:34 Good Morning: Oct. 23, 2007 Just finished the article about "Greater Israel" and their so called expantionest dreams, and how they seem to be just that, dreams. This brings to mind right away, how Israel came bock into the land of Palistine back in the 40's. At that time there were many Christian ministers who were preaching that the prophicy that told of this happening would never happen, let alone all the so called interlectuals and all the the other nasayers. But what happen? Israel is back in the land of Abraham's covenant that God gave him. Not only are they back but as a soverign nation just like the United States, Russa and all those Arab countries. It is also interresting how many of those Muslim countries tried to destroy the Jewish pepole form becoming a country when Israel was nothing but a very weak, ragtag, group of people. How these same ragtag pepole won each war that was brought against them with over whelming odds. How that same ragtag army damn near took over the whole of Eygpt. The main problem about the expansion ideas of Israel is that God gave to Abraham and his seed through Sara, the land that would belong to them and there children for ever. Yes, he gave them a good size peace of land in and around Palestine. When I read the Bible about Israel being dispersed from the land because their sin and each time coming back to the land is a woderful testamony to me of how God keeps his promises. But there is another promise that God has made and that is that his son Jesus Christ will rule from Jerusalem when he returns to set up his 1000 year rule. So the Jews will always be the sovereign inheriters of the land of Palistine, all of it. The Jews are the preperation for Christ coming into the world and will be rulers with Christ. As Paul states, "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brother, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: 'The deliverer (Christ) will come from Zion (Israel); he will turn godlessness away from Jacob (Jews). And this my (God) COVENANT with them when I take away their sins.'" Romans 11:25-27. "I ask then: Did God reject his people,? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew." Romans 11:1-2. Paul knew Christ Jesus as his Saviour abosolutely, Therefore, what he said about himself and his pepole is true. ...Take care and I want to say that I gained a great deal of knowledge from reading this web ite and the many others on this subject, I thank you and all the others who took the time to write. It is a joy to read what others think and share of their thoughts. "Therefore, I urge you, brothers in view of God"s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. " Romans 12:1-2 Respectfully, Darsee Smith
