Let The Truth UnfoldReader comment on item: Pentagon Jihadis Submitted by John Rudolph (United States), Sep 29, 2003 at 14:56 Back in March of this year, under our group, ACAIR, I began to write to my Congressional Rep and Senators, demanding that an investigation be carried out on all of the military's muslim chaplains. Specifically, I wanted to know out of the 12 muslim chaplains in our armed forces, how many were Wahhabi? And second, wanted to know what outside agencies were involved with the selection process. My actions came after the fragging incident mentioned in Daniel's article above. I had felt that if an enlisted muslim man had tossed in some hand grenades into his CO's tent, I thought about this, and realized that the muslims have muslim chaplains to look for advice and counsel. Suspicions arose quicker as I read that some of these muslim chaplains were suspected of getting advice and counsel from Imams over in Saudi Arabia - land of Wahhabism, where it flourished in the early 1920's as Saudi Arabia became an official State. Wahhabism was widely accepted there, and remains to this day as the prinicple "sect" of Islam, being the most "fundamentalist" of all. Realizing that there was possibly a connection, I began writing, and calling my Rep's office. I even branched out and wrote to Senator Jon Kyl's office as well as Senator Chuck Schumer, because I became aware that they too, begun preliminary queries into the same issue that I was checking out. It is ironic that it took this long for our armed forces to realize that they had a few traitors in the midst. It is ironic to see our armed forces let down their guard so much. It virtually sickens me, after serving 20 years in the US Navy, after having to march through the John Walker Spy Scandal as a Radioman, rehashing security training under the watchful eyes of CO's in the fleet, that it has finally come down to this, where our Pentagon has once more let down their guard to an overlooked foe, who has maliciously and deliberately "snuck in" to wreak damage from the inside out. They should NOT have fallen asleep. I would hope to see a STAND DOWN result from all of this. I would hope to see that the Pentagon take further action, and answer to my recent demands through my respective Rep/Senator's offices, that ALL MUSLIMS who serve in our armed forces be subject to a complete and unfettered BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, to determine if, as Daniel has so rightly put it, to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Only time will tell - and if the military places political correctness to the side and a fear of labeling muslims through "guilt by association" then they might be able to get this job done correctly and swiftly. /s/ John Rudolph ACAIR http://www.anti-cair-net.org Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
