Good riddanceReader comment on item: Riyadh Reorients to Moscow Submitted by Vijay (Switzerland), Dec 9, 2007 at 11:25 If the Saudi regimes breaks free from US dependence, it will be a good thing for all parties concerned. the ending of this unholy US-Saudi alliance will have excellent consequences 1. To begin with, the USA can take a tough line towards the radical brand of wahhabi Islam , which Saudi exports to all countries through it's oil wealth. The USA can aggressively counterpoint the values of freedom and democracy all over the world 2. The USA can root out Wahhabism, Muslim Brotherhood and others from it's own territory to begin with 3. Al-Queda and OBL will lose a great justification for their appeal i.e. the USA is controlling the Middleeast through Saudis Arabia.
