For anyone who is interested, an abbreviated version of Dr. Pipes' article was printed in today's Daily Illini:http://www.dailyillini.com/dec03/dec10/opinions/stories/letter01.shtml
It seems our paper occasionally runs opinions which criticize it and the things it stands for, but only to appear "fair and balanced."
