Theoretically trueReader comment on item: Learning in Arabic about Jews and Judaism Submitted by Devasahayam (United States), May 19, 2008 at 16:14 Unfortunately, when the Vandals (tribe) and Arabs came, they obliterated many of the arts of ancient Egypt (and its successors including the Macedonians)--especially the ancient Library and Pharos of Alexandria, both by Arabs. Something Muslims still do both in Muddle East (example: waqf digging in Temple Mount, even to the point of undermining the whole structure, to eliminate evidence that it was ever non-Muslim) as well as outside (most obvious example Taliban's blowing-up of Bamiyan Buddha statues).
