Arabs still want to destroy Israel---response to KristaReader comment on item: Arabs Still Want to Destroy Israel Submitted by Debbie Shafer (United States), Aug 14, 2008 at 17:32 I don't think anyone can know or judge someone elses heart, and Mohammed is educated, and has made a good living. His words were very positive, because I have heard some terrible things from some of these Jihadists. He could also be putting on a show to fool all of us westerners, but I felt I needed to be respectful and listen to his explanation. He was not hostile in any way in the responses. The term Jihad is probably the most misunderstood and abused term in the world today. It is often wrongly translated as "Holy War," which is a concept that emerges from the time of the Crusades in Europe. Jihad means "to struggle in the path of God." Even with the context of armed struggle, a more appropriate translation would be "Just War," rather than "Holy War." Neither make any sense to me since war is not holy in any way. The Koran defines the "path of God" by notions of justice and mercy, which directly oppose the notions of tyranny, oppression, and evil. The followers do exactly the opposite, and believe they are supposed to kill anyone who does not submit to Islam. Since I responded to Mohammed, I bought a copy of the Koran, and also ordered Walid Shoebat's book, WHY I LEFT JIHAD, WHICH I WILL SHOW PEOPLE AT MY CHURCH, SINCE THEY SEEM TO BE IN THE DARK ABOUT THE TRUE WAYS OF ISLAM. The frightening revelation is that Islam fully intends to promote Sharia law, throughout Europe, and the United States. We have already seen evidence of this at the Tyson plant in Tennesee. I just read in my Koran reference that many Muslims and non-Muslims today, often associate the term Shariah exclusively with the Islamic penal code, which constitutes only a small part of Islamic law. Some people who claim to be muslims and are peaceful, have not even read some of the violent scriptures in the Koran. Not all muslims are guilty of violence and aggression. This scripture from Sura IX was particularly chilling to me, because this is exactly what Hamas, Hezbollah and AlQiedda do. And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush: (suicide bombers) but if they convert, and observe prayer, and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful........The Koran says this, and most always, they murder in spite of it. I totally support Israel, and this is a vital tool in combattting Radical Islam. My friend has Walid Shoebat's book and I looked through it briefly before I ordered it. There are many scriptures from the Bible in his book. It was uplifting to read about his conversion, from a PLO terrorist, to a soldier of Christ. It looks like a book full of good information to arm ourselves with. I am glad more people are taking the time to become educated on Islam, and to be able to truly understand the truth of what we are dealing with.......
