Sorry Mr. Kerry, The Spanish beat you to it.

Will America stay the course in its war on terror, or will we take the lead of Spain and retreat, in the hope that the terrorists will leave us alone?

It is disappointing that the Spanish have just given a victory to the terrorists by voting out the government that stood up to the thugs and bullies. It will be even more disappointing if the U.S. turns tail and runs. After all, if the only super-power in the world is too weak-willed to take the lead in stamping out the vermin, who will?

Anyone who thinks our economy will be able to support the promised job growth and increased social spending, while we are dodging suicide bombers, isn't playing with a full deck.

Hello! Reality-check! They hate us, and are sworn to destroy us. We've seen what they can do, here and abroad. And, perhaps most important, they won't go away by themselves.

I do hope we catch bin Ladin soon, although I'm not sure that will be enough. I worry that too few Americans realize the threat these madmen pose. I worry that by the time they realize just how imminent the danger is, it might be too late, especially when many popular "leaders" are downplaying that threat.
