dont mix misyar is not temporary marriageReader comment on item: Misyar – Temporary Marriage in Sunni Islam Submitted by hameed (United States), Jan 5, 2009 at 06:19 hi mate, misyar marrige has nothing to do with time limit. actually it is the state of both spouses unable to live together in one place for one reason or another. and the female spouse in this case must agree on this situation. like your U.S combatans in Iraq lets say, they dont live with thier wives, thier marriage is Misyar!! got the point? there is no way to use this to criticise ... you must notice that life is not the same for all, this is what islam is all about. Note that marriage in this case is registered in the normal way. The point is nobody wants to really understand, rather everybody is happy to invent somthing that would attract attention. it is not that easy though to try to embark on a subject which is closly related to the spiritual side of dozens of millions ...? if you want to criticise people for abusing a legal rule, which is common all over the world, thats fine. but if you want to talk about marriage in islam you go to books that you know where to find. you will see then, temporary marrige is prohibited for sunni muslims, and misyar got nothing to do with temporary marriage at all.
