Dhimmitude of the highest order.Reader comment on item: Non-Muslim Politicians Immersed in the Koran Submitted by M.D'Souza (United States), Jan 5, 2009 at 11:15 If these non-Muslim politicians read the Koran as Pres.Thomas Jefferson did, it's one thing. Jefferson's reason was to know about Islam before he advocated war against the "Barbary" states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli. The Muslim pirates of that region cruised the African & Mediterranean coastline to pillage villages & seize slaves for their slave trade. They were also a menace to the US ships. What could be the reason for Tony Blair, Pres.Bush, Prince Charles and others to keep a Koran & read it on a regular basis? Don't they get enough spiritual insights from their own religious scriptures and literature? Here, we need to blame the churches they attend that have failed in their duty to spiritually enlighten their congregation.
