slater is making a good pointReader comment on item: Muslim Autonomous Zones in the West? Submitted by Betsy Ross (United States), Jan 14, 2009 at 13:21 Consider this scenario right here in the US. small states such as vermont, NH, RI, and even the less populated states out west would be a very good start for muslims to move to, gain majorities and completely change state laws, staying just within the bounds of the constitution, for now....so what happens when a whole state, reps and senators are now representing muslim majorities? what happens when you have productive states now completely supporting muslim states here thru federal funding? whats to stop madrassas from springing up in even more lethal forms? who is going to monitor these and other situations? we see what is happening now in Malmo, Sweden. the police dont even go into sections of that city, much less ambulance services, fire, etc. ive read a number of books on islam since 9/11, for the obvious reasons, and keep coming back to this point...unless and until islam jettisons JIHAD from its tenets it will ALWAYS be a threat to nonmuslims, thats just the way it is, its not prejudice, its not hatred, its how the religion operates. for nonmuslims to hope moderates will find a civilized ethics base, or for lack of a better term, a 'backbone', islam will continue to be owned and operated by the extremists and no amount of leftist excuses or apologies will change this. islam has to rid itself of JIHAD or it shouldnt be allowed to be practiced in western nations....islam's true goal is the advancement of a political system. our constitution, in allowing freedoms of religions makes no clause for a separate (religious) government to operate within its borders, even the native americans abide within a federally mandated structure, why on earth would we allow islam its own political freedom here?
