If Sharon succeeds in withdrawing from Gaza,Northern Samaria and part of Judea, then Israel will have won the battles yet lost the war of the last 3 years (plus 50+ depending on when the point from which you consider the conflict began). .. Yet if Sharon surrenders it to our enemies then who really won? Despite all the sacrifices by citizens and soldiers, Jews will be saying we were defeated, not by terror or military means, but by SHARON, who betrayed and stabbed Israelis in the back.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
