Berbers in History

Well, ironically enough, Berbers have been some of the most fanatical warriors of jihad. The various Muslim forces that invaded medieval Spain were often led or dominated by Berbers. Tariq bin Zayd, the leader of the first Muslim invasion of Spain, was a Berber and the Almoravids and Almohads where mainly Berbers.
