Whatever we learnt about the Barbers was after Keith Allison wanted Pres.Thomas Jefferson's Koran, to take oath of office. The reason why Jefferson read the Koran was to know the mindset of the Islamic pirates in the Barbary Coast. These pirates were harassing the US ships, holding our sailors as hostages and demanding high ransoms.

Thanks to Dr.Daniel Pipes too, for bringing the Amazighs into this study. Thanks also for the comments by Aksel and Ham explaining their point of view as Berbers (Amazighs).
