Tip Of The IcebergReader comment on item: Stealth Islamist: Khaled Abou El Fadl Submitted by yonason (United States), May 29, 2004 at 23:39 B"HI would be interested to see this kind of analysis of other "moderates." I don't know if, for example, James Zogby is considered moderate, but some of what he's written criticle of the U.S. and in defence of extremists tells me he's in the mold of El Fadl. It is frightening that some of these people are in such sensative positions. One wonders how much damage El Fadl has already done, in the long run, in his capacity as a professor of law. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Zogby is a Christian, so clearly not an Islamist. I did a small blog on him at "James Zogby Opines on the Torah," http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/182.For a fuller analysis of him, see Yehudit Barsky's "Is James Zogby a 'Builder for Peace'?" at http://www.meforum.org/article/429. << Previous Comment Next Comment >> Reader comments (35) on this item
